Well, hello there! Welcome to my little corner of the Internet, better known as {simple.little.joys} I started this blog a little over 3 years ago in hope of documenting and remembering every detail of my Senior year of college. Little did I know what a huge part of my life that this blog would become! This blog is my outlet, my therapy, my heart spilled onto a computer screen.
I'm a 25-year-old Registered Nurse, living in the best small town in the world, Oxford, MS. I grew up with roots planted deep in all things Ole Miss, so naturally my alma mater has always been more than just a degree and a university to me--

Before everything and anything else, I'm a sinner saved by the never-ending grace of my Savior. I am far from perfect, and I'll be the first to admit that--yet every morning, His mercies cover me. What amazing love! With every move I make, I hope and pray to bring glory to God, the One who deserves ALL of our praise and adoration. He is worthy!

At work, I'm part of the night shift crew, delivering babies in L&D, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I was born to be a nurse--this I know for certain.
If you spend any amount of time around me, there are a few things you'll learn--I'm loud, I talk really fast, I say "y'all" more times than you can count, and I love being surrounded by people.
I'm a girly girl...I love a good splash of coral, a fabulous pair of stilettos, and could spend hours in Sephora. And don't get me started on monograms--I'm from the South, after all.
My friends are the best people I know--I may be biased, but I think I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be a part of their lives. Yes, I'll be that girl with 20 bridesmaids (just joking...kinda.)
I love traveling. I'm attempting to become a world traveler, one city at a time. Now if only time and money would allow, then I'd be golden. I love losing myself in a good book. Add in sitting on the beach or beside a cozy fireplace, and you've got me hooked. I attempt (sometimes successfully) to cook on a regular basis. If I wasn't a nurse, I'd own a bakery somewhere...think Ace of Cakes meets Rachel Zoe. On any given Sunday in the fall, you can find me in the Grove, wearing my best dress, cheering on my Rebs. And in the Spring, weekends are spent enjoying the Square or watching Rebel baseball from Left Field. Hotty Toddy!
My family is my heart--I'm blessed with a close-knit, supportive, caring family and I can't imagine it any other way. My mom and my sister are my best friends. My dad and my brother are the men who stole my heart first. I thank the Lord above every day for putting me in this crazy, wonderful, loving bunch.
I'm one of the lucky ones who found her Mr Right fairly early in life...I fell in love with my best friend and would be lost without him. We've been together for 2 years now-the best 2 years of my life-and I can't wait for the next 99 by his side!
Whew--how's that for an 'about me'? We're basically bffs now, after that spiel, so why don't you just take a seat and stay for a while?
